Pit Fired Ceramic Vessel

Sympathetically designed ceramic vessels decorated with the ancient process of pit firing. These pots were thrown individually on a potter’s wheel by the artisan and fired in an earthen pit kiln using organic local materials. These materials when on fire produce coloured smoke which penetrates the porous surface of the stoneware clay, creating warm earthy coloured smoke cloud patination. Handmade in Cornwall, these pieces are created using a sustainable process and only locally sourced materials. Each piece is extremely tactile and will add a decorative touch to any living environment.
