Teardrop Carbonised Vessel

Cornish chimneys   

A collections of thrown, stoneware ceramic and vividly coloured teardrop shaped vessels. These decorative pieces are handcrafted in Cornwall using only locally sourced materials.

Each piece is created individually in size and shape. The brightly coloured clay surface is decorated using the sustainable method of smoke firing which produces a unique ‘smoke cloud’ patination.

The form of the vessel, with its extended lip, was inspired by the chimneys of the mines which are ever present in the North Cornwall landscape – with the colours reminiscent of untroubled times.

These pieces will look stunning alone or even better in a group for the dicerning Art Collector.
