North Cliffs of Cornwall.
Pottery classes at Goonzoyle are small throwing and hand-building workshops, with a maximum of three students on the wheels. Larger groups can be accommodated for special functions. Students are taught individually, at their own speed.
No experience is necessary. More experienced students who may or may not have a studio can use the studio sessions.
All workshop sessions are attended on a drop-in basis, and workshops are organised to work within your schedule and you pay as you go.
Each workshop costs £28 per person, including materials.
Firing of the work is extra.
Taster Sessions £45, including the completion of one piece.
Raku workshops cost £65 per person, including materials.
The Raku workshops hold a maximum of 8 people, although Mary can accommodate larger groups.
Each student can bring six bisque-fired pieces created from Raku clay, no larger than 15 cm x 15 cm. Please make sure the pieces are of even thickness, no thicker than 1 cm. Tuition is given before students prepare their work with a range of glazes and methods.
You will fire your work in the studio’s gas-fired Raku kiln.
After firing, you clean your pieces before taking them home.
A light vegetarian lunch of soup and bread is provided.
